Mac OS: I didn't let Hunchly access my Documents folder and now nothing works

Modified on Tue, 7 Oct at 8:16 AM

Beginning with Mac OS 10.15 "Catalina", Mac OS asks for your permission before letting apps access your files. Because Hunchly stores case data in your Documents folder by default, blocking access to your files can stop Hunchly from working. If you have blocked Hunchly from accessing the Documents folder, not to worry! It's easy to re-enable.
How to permit Hunchly to access the Documents folder

How to give Hunchly access to the Documents folder:

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click "Security and Privacy"
  3. In the left pane, scroll down and select "Files and Folders"
  4. Under the Hunchly entry in the right pane, check the box next to "Documents Folder"
